ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Second Harvest of South Georgia got in tons of supplies to replace those that went to help Superstorm Sandy victims, Monday.
FEMA restocked the food bank's Albany warehouse.
We were there as water, bleach, Meals Ready to Eat and blankets rolled in.
FEMA shipped truckloads of those supplies from Second Harvest warehouses to New York and New Jersey last month.
The Albany Branch Executive Director says the supplies come at the right time.
"This is a perfect day for it to come. I see we have tornado watches in our area today, which is exactly why we need to restock because we're going into our severe weather months and we need to be ready. We took care of sandy and there's still needs there, but we need to be covered for us," said Second Harvest Branch Director Jim Case.
FEMA will also restock Food Bank warehouses in Valdosta and Douglas.
