Volunteers from an Albany youth organization are teaching girls the importance of keeping the community clean.
Thursday, members of Girl's Inc. were out at Holloway Park trimming crepe myrtle trees.
It's part of a weeklong event to teach the girls the importance of giving back to the community.
One volunteer told us she now understands why she should help keep her city clean.
"It is very important because when people come and visit they would like to come back and visit again, so you want to have your community looking very nice," said Girls Inc. volunteer Deondia Calhoun.
Girls Inc. worked with Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful on today's project.
