DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

Members of the East Albany Boys and Girls Club got to bottle feed calves and take a hayride through Lewis Farms in Pretoria Tuesday afternoon.

The Southwest Georgia Project got a grant to teach kids from the club about healthy eating, farming, and entrepreneurship.

Community Foods Project Coordinator Paula Rogers said, "Through the community foods grant, it's really focused on education and nutrition, and what better way to focus the two than to see where there food really comes from."

Through the program, the Southwest Georgia Project also recently helped the Boys and Girls Club start their own garden.
