ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

FEMA is restocking the Second Harvest of South Georgia Food Banks to replace emergency supplies shipped to help in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Warehouses in Albany, Valdosta,  and Douglas are getting water, bleach, Meals Ready to Eat, and blankets.

FEMA shipped truckloads of those supplies from Second Harvest warehouses to New York and New Jersey.

"Shelters are going to be open," said Albany Branch Director Jim Case.  "Individuals are going to needs things. But also we're coming into our tornado season soon. So we've got to get restocked before tornado season comes and we're ready for that if something was to happen."

The Food Bank will park their truck outside the Albany Municipal Auditorium Saturday during the Albany Symphony Orchestra's Peppermint Pops performances.

They'll collect non-perishable food and donations from noon until 8 p-m.
