ATLANTA, GA -

A fourth candidate qualified to run in a January 8th Special Election for a state Senate seat.

Businessman Jeffrey Bivins will run as a Libertarian in District 11.

Longtime Senator John Bulloch resigned last week because of health problems.

Three Republicans qualified Monday.

They are Dr. Dean Burke, Brad Hughes, and Mike Keown who nearly beat Congressman Sanford Bishop two years ago.

"Today our boots are already on the ground. We have all eight counties covered with county chairs and we are waiting for all of our materials to get here. It will be out by the end of this week," said Keown.

If a runoff is required, it will be held on February 5th.
