Crashed drivers turns himself In

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The driver who ran from the scene of a crash in northwest Albany Monday night turned himself in to Georgia State Patrol troopers Tuesday morning.

23-year-old Justin Korona of Leesburg said he lost control of his Toyota Tacoma causing it to end up on its side in a yard on Whispering Pines Road about 8:30.

He took out a stop sign and street sign as well. He asked neighbors to try to help him flip the truck right-side up so he could drive away.

When they refused, he ran away because he said he was scared.

He turned himself in to the Georgia State Patrol Tuesday morning at 8:00.

Korona was charged with failure to maintain lane.
