DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Have you thought this season about opening up your heart and home to a sweet animal in need of one?
This year, we introduce you to "The 12 Strays of Christmas."
WAFF 48 News is partnering with Decatur Animal Shelter to share with you 12 animals in need of homes this holiday season. We will introduce you to a new pet each day through December 22.
Meet Collina
Collina is a beautiful and unusual girl, an 11 month old Husky shepherd, mostly black with a white chest. She has shepherd ears but has a Husky blue right eye.
This girl is a sweetheart; smart, playful and active. She's good with dogs and kids. She came in as a stray last August, and even a great animal shelter isn't a good place for a puppy to grow up. Give this playful family dog a home for Christmas!
Adoption Info
Dogs are heartworm tested, on preventative; cats are Feline Leukemia/AIDS negative; all are vaccinated, wormed and spayed/neutered. Dogs are $110.00, cats are 95.00, and bunnies are $85! See adoption specials! Check out cats and kittens at Decatur Petco during their regular retail hours.

Things to consider There are lots of reasons why people think of giving a pet as a present. But pets don't really make the best gifts, especially surprise gifts. While you may have good intentions,
