Albany man got tens of millions in fraudulent loans
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A man who used to live in Albany pleads guilty to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.
Prosecutors say 63 year-old Sidney Hall fraudulently obtained 70 loans worth $2.8 million dollars from seven banks to buy an airplane. They say he failed to repay approximately $2.7 million of that money.
He promised the plane as collateral to all the banks.
