TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

A Georgia State Patrol trooper and a suspect the trooper was chasing have crashed in Tifton.

It happened on Highway 82 just past the Spring Hill Country Club.

Officials say it happened following a pit maneuver and both vehicles went into a ditch. 

The trooper and the suspect were taken to Tift Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. 

Authorities have not released any names or have said what started the chase.
