ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

One Albany ministry finally opened the doors to their new church Sunday morning.

Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church has a new location on Gillionville Road passed Lockett Station.

The church was previously located on Martin Luther King Drive.

But Sunday morning the ministry worshiped in their new home and members say they couldn't be happier.

"We not only want to be a church here in this community in this corner but we want to be service to this community and helping families and helping with their children. In other words, we want to be a one-stop-shop," said Rev. Raymond Polite, Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church.

"This has been a long time coming but we knew it was coming, this day was coming and certainly you can see by the number of people we have here today that the excitement is just really unbelievable and we are glad to be here," said Anthony Jones, Christian Life Missionary Baptist Church.

The church held a ribbon cutting ceremony before their first full service Sunday morning.
