Albany business owner donates hair Locks of Love

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A local business owner is giving the hair off his head to help the people in need.

Chuck Knight who owns Knights Appliance and Electronics donated two 10 inch pony tails to Locks of Love. It took him two years to grow it.

Knight was inspired to grow his hair, for two people fighting cancer, Creed Campbell and Sabrina Powell.

Both Campbell and Powell lost their battle with cancer, but Knight continued to grow his hair in their memory.

"I think Creed inspired a lot of people through prayer and faith to persevere. When hair would get in my face or it was hot in the Summer time, I would think I'm doing this because of my own comfort," said Chuck Knight, Business Owner.

Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that uses donated hair to make wigs for those fighting cancer and other diseases.
