22-year-old Scott Hunt was shot in the thigh, while walking in the area near Regent Hotel.

Albany Police responded to 840 West Oglethorpe Room 131, shortly after 4 a.m. Friday.

According to Hunt's friends he was shot on a different street, but was able to make it to their hotel room.

"The other dude was like give me the gun, give me the gun. I'm going to kill you. You're going to die tonight. She called me and was crying on the phone and I was like what's going on. Then when I got to the room blood was everywhere," said Todd Jones, Victims friend.

The victims' blood was all over the hotel room. Albany Police say the shooter is a black man, with a slender build, and was last seen wearing dark clothing.
