    Ravi Mikel Givens was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He is being held in the Dougherty County jail. Givens, who played ball at Westover and Stetson
    Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

If you live near Regent Hotel on West Oglethorpe, police want you be on high alert Friday morning. There was a shooting in the area and the gunman is still on the loose.

The victim is recovering at Phoebe Putney Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are searching on Whitney, Highland and Van Buren Streets for the shooter however, they still have not found him.

22-year-old Scott Hunt was shot in the thigh, while walking in the area near Regent Hotel.

Albany Police responded to 840 West Oglethorpe Room 131, shortly after 4 a.m. Friday.

According to Hunt's friends he was shot on a different street, but was able to make it to their hotel room.

"The other dude was like give me the gun, give me the gun. I'm going to kill you. You're going to die tonight. She called me and was crying on the phone and I was like what's going on. Then when I got to the room blood was everywhere," said Todd Jones, Victims friend.

The victims' blood was all over the hotel room. Albany Police say the shooter is a black man, with a slender build, and was last seen wearing dark clothing.
