Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity President Joseph Iles led the delegation in presenting the coats, and Salvation Army Commanding Officer Major Kelly English received them of behalf of the charity.

"The whole idea is to get people and meet need where it is," said Major English, of the Salvation Army.

"To partner with J. C. Penney, the Salvation Army, Sigma Pi Phi feels like this is one of the things that we can do during the course of the year that really makes a difference in the community,"  said Sigma Pi Phi President Joseph Iles.

Even though temperatures have been unusually warm so far this fall, they won't last.  Many youngsters will benefit from the coat donation.
