Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>
FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) -
A woman is dead after being struck by an SUV around 7 p.m. Wednesday as she was walking on North Merrimac Drive in Fitzgerald.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the case and says the driver of the SUV did stop.
GSP says the woman was killed instantly.
GSP is not releasing the victim's name pending notification of kin.
