MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

A gun toting woman captured on surveillance video may be behind a string of armed robberies at Moultrie businesses.

The latest package store hold up happened just a short time after an attempted robbery at a nearby grocery store.

Police say it all started last Friday night when a masked armed robber tried to get inside Oxley's on West Central Avenue, but was unsuccessful. That's when she went down the street and robbed that store and left one cashier shook up.

"I thought it was a joke because we all kind of looked at her like she was crazy," said Somesh Package store cashier Dawn Arnold.

A woman dressed in what appears to be a robe with a grocery bag over her head demanded workers to get on the floor and the cashier to hand over the money in the drawer at the Somesh Package store on Fifth Street in Moultrie.

We talked to Arnold Tuesday Afternoon.

She thanks years of training for helping her get out of this situation alright.

"I've been working in retail for 20 something years and the whole time I was thinking about my training. Give her what she wants. Don't make any fuss and everything will be ok," said Arnold.

Moultrie Police say this is the fourth time this year that a business has been robbed at gunpoint by a woman.

They say this may be the same gun wielding woman involved in another robbery earlier this year.

"We're thinking this may be the same female that robbed the Personal Finance a few months back. Same motive and everything, the way she was dressed and the same kind of firearm. Same vehicle, so we're thinking this may be connected to the Person Finance Company as well," said Investigator Freddie Williams with Moultrie PD.

Now Arnold has a piece of advice for the brazen robber if she out there listening.

"Ask for forgiveness. God will forgive you and make things right with God," said Arnold.

Police say the woman stands about 5'5" and has a medium build. If you have any whereabouts in this case you should call Moultrie PD.

Police say that car the robber was driving is a black, early 2000 Nissan Maxima or Altima.
