ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Urology Clinic in Albany is expanding it's practice breaking ground Tuesday on a new facility.

A ceremony was held to celebrate the new state of the art building that will be built on Osler Court, off of Meredyth Drive.

The new clinic will feature new technology and offer specialized care. An outpatient surgery center will also be on-site, where doctors can perform special procedures.

"We're just excited and think this provides an opportunity to give that specialized discrete level of care that the field of urology sometimes demands. And we also think it provides a service to the community," said urologist, Dr. Scott Wendland, DO.

There are currently five urologists at the clinic. The new building is expected to open towards the end of summer.
