FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) -

A Fitzgerald man who barricaded himself inside his bedroom is in custody nearly two hours after police were called to his home.

Officials say 51-year-old Randy Chastain refused to come out of his home at 401 West Orange Street after his wife called 911 following an argument.

They say Chastain was in a room with firearms but was not holding a weapon. He had been drinking liquor, officials say, and was demanding to talk with his wife.

They say the domestic was not physical.

Fitzgerald Police officers and Ben Hill County deputies broke through a window and tased Chastain who was then taken into custody.

Charges are pending.
