ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Folks who attended the weekly Kiwanis Club meeting got a special visit from one of Albany's most well-known wildlife activist.

Jim Fowler spoke with the members of the club Monday afternoon at the Hilton Garden Inn.

He says he's thankful folks in Albany are still concerned with the wildlife and outdoors of southwest Georgia.

"Lee than five percent of the American public spend more than half an hour a year thinking about the welfare of open space wildlife and wilderness. Now down here in Georgia we have a lot of people that enjoy the outdoors thank goodness," says Fowler.

Fowler brought an array of exotic animals and spoke about preserving Albany's great outdoors.
