THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -
Folks can help support several community causes while getting into the holiday spirit.
The Archbold Foundation is hosting their 25th annual Tree of Lights and Hanukkah Menorah lighting ceremonies Monday night in Thomasville.
Donations to the Tree of Lights will benefit the Hospice of Southwest Georgia's Camp HEAL, pet therapy, and veterans' programs.
"The money that we get during the Tree of Lights that is donated in memory and in honor of people as they put ornaments on our tree is important to support all these programs because as it were the reimbursement or the payment for these Hospice programs generally does not support the education piece of Hospice in the community," said Health Services President Clay Campbell.
"And we do this throughout the entire month of December so that is serves as a very special reminder and also a great gift for that person that you just can't think of what to do," said Archbold Foundation President Frances Parker.
The Tree and Menorah are located in the front lobby of Archbold Memorial Hospital.
