ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Folks around Southwest Georgia donated items to help a 3-year-old battling leukemia.

Members from Sherwood Baptist Church collected items this evening for a yard sale.

The proceeds will go to Brynlee Ethridge and her family to cover travel and medical costs.

Clothes, toys, kitchenware even car rims will be sold Saturday.

Organizers say it's touching to see the community come together for a good cause.

"We've had a lot of people call and bring in stuff and offer things. We've been very surprised at how God has stirred people's heart to give and help out. Everybody is overjoyed by other taking out time and doing something for somebody," said Keith Pool, Event Organizer.

The yard sale begins at seven o'clock Saturday morning on Florence Drive near Dawson Road.
