ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany high school Choir will sing in front of 900 state education officials Friday.

We were there as the Westover High School concert choir boarded buses to head to Atlanta to open the Georgia School Boards Association winter conference Friday morning.

The choir will perform three selections.

School officials say the students not only represent the county, but high schoolers from around the state.

"They're ambassadors, not just for themselves and Westover right now, but also for the Dougherty County School System. One of the things I stressed to them is There's so many positive things that go on in our school and I'm so glad to see that sate recognition is coming to them," said Selina Bentley, Westover Choir Director.

This group recently performed for the professional a cappella choir Cantus and received all Superior Ratings at the Cultural Arts Festival Choral Competition in Dothan, Alabama.
