ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany business woman was honored Thursday for her years of work in the community.

Patsy Martin is this year's Albany State University's Community Service Award winner.

This is the third year ASU has given out the honor.

Thursday's banquet was held in the Student Center on campus.

Martin is a banker and Realtor in Albany and says she's honored and humbled by the recognition.

"I'm just thrilled to death. There's nothing more rewarding than being a mentor and picking somebody by the hand and leading the way. I've had them in my career and it's wonderful to be able to be that mentor now," said Patsy Martin, ASU Community Service Award Winner.

Martin earned a degree from Albany State and in 2007 was named Albany's Realtor of the Year.
