    Ravi Mikel Givens was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He is being held in the Dougherty County jail. Givens, who played ball at Westover and Stetson
    Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.

Hundreds of folks from all over the country are in Tifton sharing information on green energy.

The UGA Conference Center is hosting the 7th annual Bio-energy Conference.

 Farmers, scientists, investors and many others are learning about different energy options. 

 Solar, Biomass and other companies are showcasing their research and products.

"We have a person here from China who is a research scientist on bio-energy but he also gave us a pretty good look at how solar and other technologies are coming in china," said Craig Kvien, Research Scientist at UGA Tifton.

About 250 people attended the conference.
