ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Elected officials and business leaders talked about issues over breakfast Wednesday morning.

Members from the State Delegation met with City, Community and Business Leaders to discuss local, regional and state issues.

Elected officials spoke about key issues facing the 2013 General Assembly. They agreed things at the top of their list was balancing the budget and finding revenue to fund Albany State's future Fine Arts Center.

These events put on by the chamber help keep an open line of communication between business leaders and elected officials. 

"It's very, very important that as legislators we understand what they're challenges are. Also what we face as a local community and how we can work together to solve the issues," said Senator Freddie Powell Sims.

House Representatives, Ed Rynders, Carol Fullerton, Winfred Dukes, and  Gerald Green were the guest speakers.
