THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

One person matched all the numbers in last night's $49 million Mega Millions drawing, and that ticket was sold in Thomasville. We're waiting for the winner to come forward.

That's enough money to change someone's life forever. And one lucky south Georgian might claim it all.

"It's good to know it happens here in the south, and I'm glad my folks are winning here in Thomas County," said Emma Smith.

Susie Q's in Thomasville sold the jackpot ticket. Owner Tommy Patel says this is the biggest winning lottery ticket his 12-store franchise has ever sold.

"In the whole United States the Mega Million lottery there's only one winner in Thomas County, Thomasville Georgia, that's just awesome," Smith said.

And the news is spreading fast in Thomasville. With many lottery players focused on tonight's $500 million Powerball jackpot, locals say Susie Q's is now their lucky place to buy their ticket.

"I am playing all of the lotteries today to try to get me a lucky ticket in this store," Smith said.

Jackie Burton says she hopes the winner will share their wealth.  "Maybe whoever got it will help the community, that's what we really need."

The largest Mega Million ticket ever sold in south Georgia was in Bainbridge for $95 million in 2006. Today's winner has 180 days to collect the prize money.

"We have a lot of excitement going on now since this ticket was sold in this store!"

And you still have time to buy your Powerball ticket at Thomasville's lucky Susie Q's.   Winners must claim those big jackpots in person.

The closest lottery office is in Tifton. No one has turned in the winning ticket.
