ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Georgia Bulldog fans sure are fired up this week.

Their team will play for a national championship for the first time in more than 30 years, if they beat Alabama in Saturday's SEC Championship game.

Of course the game is sold out and some fans are willing to pay thousands of dollars for a ticket, but you certainly don't want to end up with a worthless counterfeit ticket.

Hill Gillespie has no doubts he holds two of the hottest tickets in the country right now.

"I've never heard of so many bulldogs who want tickets to this game and don't have them, so it was a tough ticket to get," said Gillespie.

Gillespie will be at the Georgia Dome this Saturday cheering on the Dawgs as they take on the Crimson Tide.  The winner will play for the national championship.

"Other than the National Championship game, this is the most important game," said Gillespie.

And with the highly anticipated game comes high ticket prices.

Gillespie's tickets cost $100 face value, but we checked online Tuesday evening and the same ticket is selling for almost four times the regular price.

We even found tickets selling for more than $6,000, making this a potential gold mine for scammers.

"I'm in the printing business and there's some things we can make pretty good copies of, but we could never make one to pass this way with all the holograms in there," said Gillespie.

Authentic tickets have hologram SEC logos and strips throughout the ticket and are printed on hard, glossy paper making it practically impossible to clone.

"If you walked out on the street and saw one that didn't have all of this paraphernalia on there, you better be asking some questions," said Gillespie.

Now all that Gillespie has to do is enjoy the game and hope his bulldogs can edge out a win.

"We're all excited about it, we think we've got a chance. Not a great chance because Alabama is a pretty good team, but we're excited," said Gillespie.

A chance for the Dawgs to return the national championship game since 1980 comes down to this.

If you're looking to buy tickets from scalpers in Atlanta, there will be ticket validation windows set up at the dome to make sure you are buying a legitimate ticket.

Tickets also have a special bar code on the bottom to ensure authenticity.

The big game kicks off at four o'clock Saturday afternoon.
