ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Chehaw is preparing to host a special event for children with special needs, and they need your help.

The park and the Boy Scouts of Leesburg are hosting a Nature Round-Up for special needs children next weekend.

Organizers need volunteers to help with set-up, to handle snacks, and to work with the kids.

"I want them to be able to have a good time and enjoy the things that we have. We're going to be having a couple booths that need to be run and I want for adults and teenagers to come and have a good time that day with the kids," says Troop 7 Scout Master Amy Bacon.

The event is free and will be held at Chehaw's Wild Animal Park from 10 to 2 on Saturday December 8th.

If you are interested in volunteering, you're asked to email Amy Bacon at amylovesscouting@yahoo.com.
