ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

As the Powerball lottery jackpot soars to an all-time high a lot of Georgia lottery players are having a hard time buying tickets because of a glitch

Wednesday's jackpot will be at least $425 million.

A Georgia Lottery spokesperson says most lottery machines are working properly Monday night after two days of trouble, but that's not what local stores say.

We talked to several lottery retailers in Albany Monday night who say they either can't sell tickets or it's taking much longer than usual to sell them.

"Powerball is a big jackpot - $425 million and everybody wants to buy the powerball ticket but I'm helpless because my machines are not working," says BP employee Rahul Patel.

"We're not down like the others. Ours are moving real real slow. It takes at least three minutes before one ticket can print out," says Latanya Harvey with Woodall's Service Station.

Stores tell us the problem started when the Georgia Lottery updated their software.
