ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Flint RiverQuarium is beefing up this year's holiday events in hopes of drawing a bigger crowd and bringing in more money.

Every year around this time the RiverQuarium hosts events all month long to get folks in the Christmas spirit.

This year organizers are enhancing their calendar with more events.

And this could help bring in more money for the struggling RiverQuarium.

Just last week the RiverQuarium's CEO went before the commission, asking for more money to keep their doors open.

"We've got families that are coming in from out of town, so it's important for us to have these different events so that way people can experience what Albany has to offer," said Sherrell Lamar, Guest Services Manager.

All of these events are part of Tis the Season, which is kicking off Saturday morning with breakfast with Santa.
