ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Many people spent the day with family, but some Albany families had an untraditional Thanksgiving meal.

It's a growing trend for families to have their holiday meal in a restaurant.

BJ Fletcher, the owner of Ole Time Country Buffet says over the years she has seen more people come in on Thanksgiving.

And she says the economy has a lot to do with it.

"A lot of them did the numbers, we were under $10 with drink and all, and they did the math, they said there is no way we can cook any cheaper than what you are doing," said B.J. Fletcher. Restaurant Owner.

They cooked three times more than any other to go orders they have ever cooked.
