A 12-year-old Dooly County boy remains hospitalized after he was accidentally shot this morning.
Sheriff's officials say the incident happened around 8:30AM at a home Halifax Road.
They say a 13-year-old boy was holding the .223 rifle when it fired and the bullet struck the victim in the chest.
He was rushed to Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele and is "stable".
