Pop Warner players, cheerleaders thinking Pink

Some South Georgia football players and cheerleaders dedicated their season to more than just winning.

They were thinking pink and today the Lee County Warriors made a donation to the Carlton Breast Center at Phoebe Putney Hospital. Players and cheerleaders sold car decals and took on projects to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

"That just sparked everything to take it to the next level to educate our kids on breast cancer, why we're wearing pink and why we're raising money to help. It was something big for our kids," said South Georgia Pop Warner President Daniel Cruz.

The cheerleaders came up with a Breast Cancer Awareness cheer and some of the players wrote poems in honor of those battling the disease.
