Cook burglary suspects caught in Lowndes

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

 Just after midnight Monday night, four people were taken into custody by Lowndes County Sheriff's deputies after a look out was issued for burglars in Adel.

 Deputies spotted a recreational vehicle matching the description issued from Cook Co., and pulled it over. They saw items in the RV that appeared to be items reported stolen from the  Advance Auto Parts Store in Adel.

The people arrested for Cook Co authorities are:

  • Christopher M. Knuckes of Dayton, Ohio
  • Ronnie D. Henemyre of Richmond, Indiana
  • Frank Anthony Mullins of Richmond, Indiana
  • Scott Andrew Sucher of West Bloomfield, Michigan

 Lowndes Co. Sheriff Chris Prine released the following-

On Tuesday morning, around 1:00 deputies were provided a look out for a RV believed to be traveling south on I-75 from Cook County. The occupants of this vehicle were being sought for questioning in connection with the burglary of the Advance Auto Parts, located at 214 West Fourth Street in Adel.

Shortly after receiving the look out, a Lowndes County Sheriff's Office deputy observed a RV matching the description and performed a traffic stop near the 18 mile marker on the Interstate. While speaking with the occupants of the RV, the deputy confirmed that the group had been in Adel and where the persons being sought by the Adel Police Department.

The deputies also observed items inside the RV that were stolen during the burglary. Detective Jon Blake, from the Adel Police Department, met with the deputies at the location of the traffic stop and all of the vehicle occupants were eventually transported back to Adel for additional investigation.

No charges have been filed against the persons in Lowndes County but they have been charged with Burglary and Theft by receiving stolen property in Cook County. All four individuals are currently in the Cook County Jail. Additional information on the burglary can be obtained from Detective Jon Blake {229-896-2224, ext. 302}.

Sheriff Prine praised the cooperative efforts of the agencies in working together to solve this crime.
