ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Those familiar bells are ringing, the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is underway.

Bell ringers are collecting donations at several locations in Albany, including the Mall and both Walmart stores.

Your donation supports the organization's programs all year.

This year's goal is $64,000.

Salvation Army officials say they need more volunteers.

"Every year we're always looking for more volunteers because what that does is offsets the expense of having to hire people," said Kelly English with the Salvation Army.

Red Kettle donations pay for emergency shelter, food, clothing and day-to-day assistance the Salvation Army provides.

Call the Salvation Army if you want to volunteer as a bell ringer.
