VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A Valdosta man is charged with shooting his brother in an argument over money.

24-year-old Justin Arnold is in jail tonight charged with wounding 21-year-old Dijon Arnold Saturday morning.

Arnold was shot in the leg at his Holiday Street residence.

"Unfortunately we see a good bit of family violence and it seems to escalate around the holidays, because the holidays become a more stressful time period; you have money problems and a lot of families get together that maybe are not used to being together," said Capt. Bobbi McGraw, VPD.

Dijon Arnold is recovering from his wound. Justin Arnold is charged with aggravated assault.
