Car fire spreads to mobile home

Two people are now homeless after a fire engulfed their mobile home.

Albany Firefighters were called to the scene at 211 Pine Bluff Road Sunday evening.

Officials say a Pontiac Grand Prix caught on fire, which spread to the trailer home in Pine Bluff Country Estates.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.  "Evidently the car had some sort of mechanical problems. And the fire started up under the hood, possibly a gas leak," said Battalion Chief, Matthew Jefferson.

The mobile home was not destroyed, but officials say it's not livable right now.

No one was injured in the incident.
