Whooping Cranes flying over South Georgia

The weather is holding up travel planes for the endangered whooping cranes who are making the trek down south.

Operation Migration uses ultra light aircrafts to lead the birds from Wisconsin to Florida each year.

But because of windy weather the team is stuck on the ground for a second day in Lowndes County, Alabama.

The crews will be flying over Clay and Decatur Counties in the next few days. To track the cranes and find out where you can watch them fly over click here.
