ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Fire investigators will take a second look Monday at what caused a kitchen fire over the weekend.
From the initial investigation, officials determined the dishwasher sparked the blaze that caused about $20,000 in damage.
The residents in apartment 510 at Village Apartment were in the process of moving in, so no one was there at the time of the fire and the apartment was mostly empty of all of their furniture.
The blaze was contained to the kitchen area. It took 300 gallons of water to put the fire out.
