ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Thanksgiving came a few days early for some people in East Albany.

Three organizations, King Solomon Lodge number 14, Artesian City Chapter 217 and Magnolia 411, prepared a thanksgiving feast for the community.  Volunteers made about 500 meals with turkey and all the fixings to give out this afternoon.

"We want to give back to the community, especially to the ones that are more unfortunate than we are, we come into this community every other day or so for our meetings, and this is an opportunity for us to give back and let them know we hear them, and we want to support them," says Eddie Jones, King Solomon Lodge #14.

They also gave away second hand coats and school supplies to people in the community.
