ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany service organization celebrates America, patriotism, and their faith.

The MCLB Commanding Officer spoke at the Exchange Club of Albany's annual "One nation under God" program that highlights the club's central beliefs.

Colonel Don Davis spoke as an individual not on behalf of the Corps and told Exchangites that service organizations inspire communities.

"It's an opportunity to give back and to encourage because there are a lot of folks down here that are strong in their faith, and they are strong in what they do and they serve," said Colonel Don Davis, MCLB Albany Commanding Officer.

About half the Exchange Club members at Friday's program are veterans.
