An advocacy group in Tifton is working to provide clothing and toys to child abuse victims and foster children.
The Patticake House began Suitcases for Kids in 2005.
The project collects monogrammed suitcases filled with clothing and toys to give to children in foster care or those removed from their homes during abuse investigations.
"Most of these children are in foster care, so they do tend to move a lot, and we always say a trash bag makes a lousy travel companion which is what most of them leave home with, and so to have this, and as I said it has their initial monogrammed on it, so they know this is specifically for them," said Pam Howard, Patticake House Development Director.
Each year, the project gives suitcases to about 400 children.
