VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police are looking for two women who robbed a man near his hotel and threatened him with knives.

This is the second time someone has been robbed this week on Hill Avenue near their motel. This time it was an out-of-towner staying the night at Motel Six.

Police say the North Carolina man was walking back to the hotel around 11:30 Wednesday night after eating dinner nearby. The women came at him with knives and demanded his wallet.

"It's very unfortunate because we want to be a good community host for anyone coming into our town but unfortunately this happened and we're very thankful he did not get hurt," said Captain Bobbi McGraw, VPD.

The women gave the man his wallet back but stole his credit cards and $30. If you have any information on this armed robbery Valdosta Police ask you to call them at 229-242-2606.
