ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Monroe looking to quarterback Charles Stafford to lead them in the state playoffs.
Charles Stafford is this week's WALB Albany Area Player of the Week and first repeat winner this season.
Dr. James Mason presented Charles with his award for a second time this season.
Stafford last week passed for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in last week's win against Worth County.
Monroe will open the state playoffs at Griffin.
It is a tough first round assignment but the Tornadoes remember last season when they went on the road and beat a ranked Baldwin team.
"We beat the number 8 team last year in the state. So that gave us a lot of confidence that we can beat anybody" said Charles Stafford.
Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Griffin.
