ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Boys and Girls Club members got an early start on Thanksgiving celebrations Wednesday night.

The club served more than 150 families at its annual Thanksgiving dinner.

They enjoyed traditional favorites such as turkey and dressing and collards.

Organizers say it's a time for those who use and support the Boys and Girls Clubs to come together and share good times.

"This is the time of year where families get together and fellowship across the table and that's why I wanted to make sure my parents came in and the community to come in just to let them know with all the craziness going on, let's get together and love on each other for a few hours," said Jason Belk, Event Organizer.

The Albany Boys and Girls Club has served Thanksgiving Dinner to the club and community for the past 15 years.
