K-9 teams enjoy best BBQ

PERRY, GA (WALB) -

Not only did those K-9 teams learn from the best but they also will get to enjoy some of the best BBQ too.

You may recognize Myron Mixon from the hit show BBQ Pitmasters as a contestant and a judge.

He's a Dooly County native and will be preparing a award winning BBQ dinner for these K-9 handlers and instructors at the event.

Myron just opened up a new restaurant in Miami and shot a pilot for a brand new show he has coming out called BBQ wars.

"I think the reasons our shows do so well like BBQ pitmasters is everyone in America has a grill or smoker of some kind and to a degree they can do what us do on TV," said Myron Mixon, Celebrity Chef and Judge.

If you need a little help perfecting your BBQ, Myron has his second cookbook coming out in May.

The first one made it on the New York Best Sellers list.
