THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Performers in an annual south Georgia ballet are giving kids a taste this week of the show.

A few of the South Georgia ballet performers, who will be featured in next weekend's Nutcracker performances, are traveling to elementary schools in Thomasville this week.

Tuesday, they were at Brookwood Lower School giving the students a small sampling of what's to come.

"They actually do different material then what is in our show, but it is a great way for them to get in front of the community and give the community a taste of what The Nutcracker is all about and also for them to get in front of their peer groups. It's a lot of fun for them," said Associate Artistic Director.

"It prepares us for the real performance and it also allows little children to watch us," said Performer Maria Dunbar.

The shows are November 24th and 25th in the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium.
