ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Darton men's soccer team dominated possession but found themselves in tight game against Western Wyoming in its first of three pool play games.  The game was tied 1-1 when just before halftime Alejandro Garcia crossed a ball that found the waiting boot of Jowayne Laidley who tapped it home.

The Cavs kept on the attack in the second half but couldn't capitalize on several opportunities against what was a stout Western Wyoming goal keeper.  Barrington Wright connected on a penalty kick with about 15 minutes left in the game after Troy Tucker was fouled in the box.

After the game head coach Bart Sasnett talked about how tough each match up will be.

Sasnett "Nothing is going to be given to you everybody can play. Everybody is trying to knock us off so they did a good job. That was a good team we played Western Wyoming."

Darton will play Western Texas Wednesday at noon.
