ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Cordele police investigators are trying to find out who shot a woman in an apartment on West 23rd Street Sunday night.

Cynthia Curtis' body was discovered this morning, and investigators say that she was shot. She was 39.

"She was a good person, and she didn't deserve to die, and all the kids are going to miss her, because every holiday that came up, she had something for them so they are going to miss her," said Rashida Perry, a neighbor.

Police do not have a suspect in custody but are following leads.

If you have any information on this murder... You're asked to call the Cordele Police Department at 229-273-3102.
