COLQUITT COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A Colquitt County family is left without a home after an early morning fire. Colquitt County Volunteer Firefighters responded to 978 George Ethridge Road, shortly before 4:00am.

No one was inside at the time of fire. It took firefighters an hour and 15 minutes to have the flames under control.

Moultrie 911 dispatch called in fire units from Livingston Bridge, Ellenton, and Norman Park to help put out the flames.

"When I looked out, I ran to the window and the whole things was just in flames. It was just all over. It was devastating. It was just terrible. I went to screaming and running. I was wondering what could I do?", said Neighbor Tiny Canady.

The Colquitt County Sheriff's Office is being called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
